AgileCOLLATERAL: Collateral management in the cloud—providing an ‘out of the box’, cross-product platform that supports regulatory and strategic collateral management needs. Light touch, but not light weight.
AgileCOLLATERAL is targeted to asset managers, buy-side brokers, pension funds, corporates and investment firms which need the agility to “turn-on” a collateral-in-a-box solution that is hosted in the cloud and eliminates the need for onsite installation and infrastructure costs.

Chief Executive Officer
Alastair joined Lombard Risk in December 2015 as Chief Executive Officer. A former divisional CIO and digital leader at RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland), Alastair has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 25 years. With extensive experience of execution and delivery, he has worked in both front line businesses and technology groups, giving him significant insight into both the opportunities that technology offers, as well as the complexity of mobilising organisations to exploit those opportunities.
He has extensive experience in major transformation programmes, both as a veteran of the NatWest and ABN AMRO integrations with RBS, and having led migrations to new back-office platforms for the Fixed Income, Lending and FX businesses. His experiences leading such initiatives from inside a major bank gives him a unique perspective as he starts working with Lombard Risk clients on their regulatory compliance and collateral management programmes.
Alastair holds a First Class Degree in Economics with an MSc (Dist.) in Information Technology, both from De Montfort University. He is married with two teenage daughters, lives in South West London and his interests include cycling, bird watching, opera and current affairs.
Chief Financial Officer
Nigel joined Lombard Risk in July 2014 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed to the Board in September 2014. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in a number of sectors, including software and financial services.
Prior to joining Lombard Risk, Nigel served as CFO for two AIM-listed groups, WH Ireland Group and Merchant Securities Group. He was previously the Finance Director, EMEA & APAC, for Nasdaq-listed Ciena Corporation. Nigel is also a Director of Celsius Productions Limited, a company involved in motion picture production.
Nigel was a key member of the leadership team which oversaw the sale of Merchant Securities to the Sanlam Group.
He holds a BSc in Management Science from the London School of Economics. He is married and lives in South London. His interests include running his cricket club, travel and playing bass guitar.
Chief Technology Officer
Mike joined Lombard Risk in January 2016 as Chief Technology Officer (Interim). Since May 2016, he assumed the CTO role on a permanent basis. Mike has been managing technologists within the financial services industry for over 30 years. Most recently he was Managing Director responsible for Investor Services Middle Office Technology at J.P. Morgan. Previously at J.P. Morgan he led a multi-year program to build J. P. Morgan’s International Prime Brokerage technology platform. He has frequently partnered effectively with outsourced vendors and software vendors giving Mike a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced at Lombard Risk.
Mike has extensive experience of delivering new front to back business systems and regulatory change programs at J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse and other institutions. His experience of leading technology programs from within major financial institutions gives him a unique viewpoint as he further enhances the regulatory reporting and collateral management systems for Lombard Risk clients.
Mike has an honours degree in Zoology from Swansea, University of Wales.
Global Head of Product
Tina joined Lombard Risk in February 2016 as the Global Head of Product. A senior executive in the capital markets and asset management businesses, Tina was Global Account Director at FIS/SunGard, Head of the Retail and Offshore Asset Management Business at Allianz as well as BNP Paribas, among other leadership positions. Tina has been in the financial services industry for 30+ years and has extensive product development and investment management experience. Her roles in both the front office and in running back office operations gives her a unique insight into institutional clients’ needs.
Through her investment management experience, Tina has been continuously involved in dialogue with global regulators and market participants and has been on the front line developing, building and managing solutions to address the increasing regulatory oversight requirements. Her background in back office processing has sensitised her to the challenges of implementing complex systems and supporting full outsourcings of trading and fund administration businesses. Tina brings a vital client perspective to the development of regulatory reporting and collateral management solutions which are mission critical for the broader financial participants – including energy and commodities firms, as well as banks and asset managers.
Tina holds a Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University (Johnson School of Management) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from City University of New York in Economics and Finance. She is married, lives in the heart of The City in London and is a keen golfer, runner and music lover with a passion for opera and jazz.
Chief Marketing Officer
Leonie joined Lombard Risk in July 2017 as Chief Marketing Officer. Leonie has worked in the finance and financial technology sector for more than 20 years, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer at Strategic Insight where she led a major brand transformation project spanning 14 separate entities and portfolio companies. Prior to that she held senior marketing positions at OpenLink and Temenos where she had specific focus on marketing strategy and delivering integrated marketing programmes to meet company objectives.
Leonie was also Global Head of Marketing and Communications at Wall Street Systems where she developed and implemented a new brand and marketing strategy, positioning the company’s products and services to target markets worldwide. Her role was central to the growth of the company prior to its sale to ION Trading.
Leonie is CIM / CAM Foundation Marketing Certificate qualified and holds a BA (Hons) in Design for Communication Media from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Head of Sales, EMEA
Thomas joined Lombard Risk in 2016. He heads Sales and Business Development for EMEA. Thomas has a successful track record in launching products and growing businesses in the Fintech sector across Europe. Before joining Lombard Risk, Thomas lead the European sales team of the Portfolio Risk Division of Standard & Poor’s.
Previously, Thomas was Regional Manager at Algorithmics with responsibility for Southern Europe, and was the Co-founder and Director of Almonde (a software vendor sold to Misys, plc in 2004). Thomas successfully built, structured and led outstanding teams that achieved significant revenue and profit growth.
Thomas has a Masters Degree in Banking, Finance and Insurance from the Paris-Dauphine University. He also holds the FRM designation and is a certified NLP practitioner. His interests include sailing, climbing and personal development.
Managing Director, Americas
As the regional leader, John’s role spans across our functional lines to ensure our business in the North American territory addresses the needs of our local clients, employees and partners. John is focused on creating and maintaining a performance based culture where the motivations include achieving profitable revenue growth, high levels of customer satisfaction, and an exciting work environment that fosters collaborative learning and team based execution.
Before joining Lombard Risk in 2014, John developed and executed the sales and go-to-market strategy for Markit Analytics in New York. Prior to that role, he was the Head of Risk Solutions at Calypso USA, the COO Americas of Razor Risk Technologies, and CEO and co-founder of Treasury Management Systems, Inc. Additionally, John has held senior roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where he ran the FX trading and sales team and at Deutsche Bank, Frankfurt and New York.
John has led our New York based team in successively doubling our business in the North American region. It is our fastest growing region in terms of new clients, revenues and new employees and is now an established centre of excellence for our collateral management and regulatory reporting businesses.
John holds an MBA in Concentrations Finance from the Simon School at the University of Rochester and a dual BS in Chemistry and Economics from the State University of New York.
General Manager, Asia Pacific
Joe joined Lombard Risk in 2017 as General Manager for the Asia Pacific Region. He has a strong track record in developing company growth through business development opportunities. He has 15+ years of leadership experience in the financial technology industry that also includes a trading, risk management and operations business background in the financial markets.
Director of Global Alliances
Ian joined Lombard Risk in February 2017 as Director of Global Alliances. He has over two decades of experience in the Information Technology Sector.
Ian was previously at Swiss Bank Corporation and IBM. He then joined Oracle as head of EMEA Platform Alliances, prior to moving to the United States as Vice President of Global Alliances and Channels for Art Technology Group and subsequently Spotfire, later running their global alliance programme with Sun Microsystems. Ian has held roles at Thunderhead, where he dramatically grew their Financial Services sector through strategic systems integration partnerships, and at MarkLogic as head of EMEA Alliance Channels.
Ian was born in Switzerland and holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of San Francisco. His hobbies include skiing and walking in the countryside with his three dogs.
Global Head of Professional Services
Peter joined Lombard Risk in 2009 as Global Head of Professional Services. He has worked in various professional services leadership roles at financial software vendors for over 15 years, including IBM, Interwoven and Scrittura. Peter has significant international experience having led professional services teams in EMEA, APAC and the US, and has delivered projects at financial institutions of all sizes.
Peter has an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Kent, and a PgCert Mathematical Finance from the University of London.
Chief Administrative Officer
Sue Kent originally joined Lombard Risk in 1992 and re-joined in 2009. Sue is Chief Administrative Officer responsible for negotiating and managing client contracts and third party documentation, facilities and office management and key operational aspects for the group.
Human Resources Director
Peter joined Lombard Risk in 2015, and has global responsibility for Human Resources. Peter started his career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Computacenter and Compaq, and has held senior roles at Sabre as EMEA HR Director, and Vice President at TomTom located in Amsterdam.
Peter has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Westminster, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
