Haydale hails US patent grant

Haydale Graphene Industries PLC (LON:HAYD) said its patent application governing the way it ‘functionalises’ the wonder material graphene and other materials for commercial use has been granted in the US.

This means the company’s plasma process is now protected in the all its key markets, including UK, Europe, Japan, China and Australia.

“This latest award is extremely well timed as we execute our development strategy in the US, expanding our existing silicon carbide business to encompass graphene and other nanomaterials," said Haydale chief executive Ray Gibbs.

Earlier this month, the company unveiled plans to raise almost £10mln via a placing and open offer of shares in the business.

The fundraiser was designed to take advantage of some significant commercial opportunities.
