HearMeOut Ltd (ASX:HMO) is set to launch the HOOP IoT (Internet of Things) device for cars, along with its technology partner DSP Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:DSPG).

The prototype will be launched at one of the world’s largest consumer electronics shows, the CES event in Las Vegas from 9-12 January 2018.

HearMeOut’s shares were last trading circa 15% higher intra-day, at $0.15.

The Israel based company’s HearMeOut app lets people express their authentic voice and put their unique signature on social media interactions.

HearMeOut enables users to share and listen to 42-second audio posts through the platform’s native feed or on other social networks.

The new HOOP device enables the use of HearMeOut’s voice-based social media app in cars that do not have connected car technology.

HOOP is compatible with the steering wheel of any car, letting drivers safely use the platform with both hands on the wheel.

The device has been developed with NASDAQ-listed DSP Group, a leading provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications.
