Board of Directors

William J. Clough

Mr. Clough is the president, chief executive officer and chairman of the Board of Directors of CUI Global. A seasoned executive and entrepreneur, Mr. Clough joined the company’s Board in 2006 and was subsequently appointed chief executive officer in 2008. In his role as CEO, he led the establishment of the company’s Energy division, formed its Energy operations in North America, and guided the company to its largest Energy contract award in its history while concurrently managing the company’s Power & Electro-Mechanical division to greater than average electronics industry growth rates in recent years. Mr. Clough directs the company’s capital markets strategy, including leading several equity offerings to institutional investors and spearheaded the company’s uplist to the Nasdaq Capital Market in 2012.

Mr. Clough previously founded and operated a multi-state, multi-office law firm for 14 years. He received a Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law in 1990. He is a former law enforcement officer and U.S. Federal Air Marshal. Mr. Clough serves on the board of directors of privately-held Virtual Power Systems, creator of Software Defined Power®.

C. Stephen Cochennet

A member of the board of directors of CUI Global since December 2017, Mr. Cochennet is a veteran of the oil and gas industry in North America and a seasoned public and private company senior executive with a broad range of strategic and operational experience. He currently serves as the CEO and President of Kansas Resource Development Company, a private oil and gas exploration company.

From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Cochennet was CEO and president of Guardian 8 Corporation, the developer and manufacturer of an Enhanced Non-Lethal defense device designed for professional security officers. From 2005 to 2010, he was chairman, president and Chief Executive Officer of EnerJex Resources, Inc., a publicly-traded oil and gas company. Prior to EnerJex Resources, Mr. Cochennet was President of CSC Group, LLC., where he supported a number of Fortune 500 corporations, international companies, and natural gas/electric utilities, as well as various start up organizations. From 1985 to 2002, he held several executive positions with UtiliCorp United Inc. (Aquila) in Kansas City, Missouri, where his responsibilities included finance, administration, operations, human resources, corporate development, natural gas/energy marketing, and managing several new startup operations. Prior to Aquila, Mr. Cochennet served six years with the Federal Reserve System managing problem and failed banking institutions primarily within the oil and gas markets.

Mr. Cochennet holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Nebraska.

Corey A. Lambrecht

Mr Lambrecht is a 20+ year public company leader with broad experience in strategic acquisitions, capital raises, up listings, new business development, pioneering consumer products, corporate licensing and interactive technology services.

Since 2007 Mr. Lambrecht has a been a member of the Board of Directors for CUI Global, Inc., serving multiple terms on the Audit Committee and has been the Charmain of the Compensation Committee. He has served as a director of ORHUB Inc (OTCQB: ORHB) since July 2016. He served as the President, COO of Infinity Resources Holdings Corporation/Earth911 from December 2009 to August 2013. During tenure, raised accretive capital and was primarily responsible creating framework for the initial investment/acquisition (50%) and final acquisition of Quest Resources by Earth911 Inc, a division of Infinity Resources (OTCBB: IRHC). Strategically guided merger with publicly traded YouChange Holdings creating over a $250MM Market Cap, that eventually rose to $400MM. From December 2011 to December 2015 he served as a Director and Member of the Compensation Committee for Guardian 8 Holdings (OTCQB: GRDH) through its wholly owned operating subsidiary, Guardian 8 Corporation, is the developer and manufacturer of the G8 Personal Defense Device. Mr. Lambrecht was a director of Carbon Credits International (OTC: CARN) from December 2011 through May 2013 beginning with its acquisition of Lifestyle Wireless. From July 2006 to December 2009, Mr. Lambrecht served as Executive Vice President/Partner of Global Alerts LLC, a leading Cause Media company comprised of the following assets,, and where he additionally served as President. From March 2002 to January 2004 while Executive Vice President for Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation (now American Outdoor Brands NASDAQ: AOBC) he was responsible for licensing, advanced technologies and interactive marketing divisions. He was primarily responsible for raising the acquisition capital for the purchase of Smith & Wesson by Saf-T-Hammer (OTC: SAFH). From September 2000 to March 2002 he was the President of A For Effort, an interactive database marketing company specializing in online content (advergaming) for clients such as the National Hockey League which was acquired by in 2002. Mr. Lambrecht’s prior experience also includes pre-IPO founder for Premium Cigars International (NASDAQ: PCIG) which eventually filed its IPO in August 1997 and VP Sales/Marketing for Mr. Lambrecht also has prior operational experience for a Scottsdale, Arizona residential and commercial development company. He formerly served as Director of Sales for Leveraged Marketing Associates, the worldwide leader in licensed brand extension strategies.

Mr. Lambrecht is a Certified Director from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management Accredited Directors program.

Sean P. Rooney

Mr. Rooney is veteran of the financial markets and has served on the board of CUI Global since 2009. He brings over 20 years of financial management experience to the board of directors. Mr. Rooney currently is an Financial Advisor at the Pinnacle Financial Group which is part of LPL Financial, the largest independent broker dealer in the United States.

Prior to working with LPL, Mr. Rooney served as Senior Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co., a full service investment banking, securities and wealth management firm. He has also worked in similar capacity at Investec Ernst & Company, an international specialist bank headquartered in South Africa and the U.K.. Mr Rooney currently advises a clientele of high net worth investors, institutions and foundations. He is active member of various industry and charitable organizations.

Mr. Rooney graduated from C.W. Post University in 1993 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration and holds Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Law), and Series 24 (General Securities Principal) licenses.

Paul D. White

Paul White is a graduate of Humboldt State University and brings to the CUI Global board over 25 years of upper level business management skills. Mr. White currently serves as Vice President of the Healthcare Division for North America of a global security company. His responsibilities include direct P & L statements of $120 million, along with management, control, and supervision of approximately 3,000 employees working at 44 Medical Centers & Hospitals and over 600 Medical Office Buildings throughout the United States. He also serves as the company's subject matter expert for North America. He previously served in the Office of the General Counsel and Risk Services, as an Environmental Risk Consultant with Sutter Health Support Services – Corporate Services. His key responsibilities included: formulating best practice solutions to minimize/eliminate existing and potential employee health & safety and security exposures as well as consultations of state, federal, and professional standards for Risk Control/Environmental Health & Safety programs such as OSHA, TJC, DHS, EPA, NFPA, and DOT.

As a results-oriented business leader with achievement in developing, managing and expanding business portfolios, with expertise at senior management level in healthcare safety, security and risk management programs in complex matrix organizations, Mr. White has senior management experience in contract management, public relations, program strategy and design and has been consistently recognized for effective financial management, leadership, integrity, team-building, and program management skills.
