Telit Communications Plc (LON:TCM) has signed an agreement with China Unicom to provide the telecoms firm with its deviceWISE internet of things (IoT) platform.
The IoT software and products maker said Unicom would use its deviceWISE platform to streamline the process of integrating and managing its IoT devices and applications, while also supporting a rapidly expanding deployment of its install base.

DeviceWISE provides the ability to integrate industrial assets and machines, providing manufacturing companies with data to improve productivity.
Telit’s executive chairman, Paolo Dal Pino, said that the deal was “a key development” in improving the firm’s share of the fast-growing Chinese market.
China Unicom is the Chinese state-owned telecoms operator in the country and is the world’s fourth largest mobile service provider by subscriber base.
