Computacenter receives boost from upsurge in working from home during coronavirus pandemic

Business is picking up for the IT services provider with its ability to handle big orders the key to its success in clinching many contract wins

Computacenter PLC -

Computacenter PLC (LON:CCC) seems to be one of the few companies having a “good” coronavirus pandemic, with business booming.

The information technology kit and services provider said it expects its first-half outturn will be considerably ahead of the first half of last year.

“We stated in our trading statement on 23rd April 2020 that current trading was more robust than we had anticipated at the start of the crisis. Since that date business has accelerated further and we have managed to secure some substantial technology sourcing contracts due to our ability to scale our operations to meet the demand,” the FTSE 250-listed firm said in a trading statement.

The company is not counting its chickens, however, and added that it was not prepared to commit to providing “meaningful guidance” on how the second half of the year might pan out.
